1. Who we are

Alexander Homes Design is a building design and drafting business serving Sydney and the Greater Sydney region. This policy applies to alexanderhomesdesign.com.au.

2. What this website collects

We do not run Google Analytics or any similar measurement tool on this site, and there is no form to fill in. Two things are still recorded whenever anyone visits:

• Server logs. Our web host records the standard details of every request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, your browser type and the page you came from. These logs keep the site secure and help diagnose faults. They are not used to build a profile of you.
• Cookies from embedded Google services. Described in the next section.

3. Cookies and embedded services

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Alexander Homes Design does not set any cookies of its own on this website, and we do not use advertising, remarketing or analytics cookies.

Two Google services are embedded in our pages, and they may set their own cookies or receive your IP address:

• Google Maps. A map appears on our contact section so you can find us. When that map loads, Google may set cookies in your browser and will receive your IP address. Google uses this under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Fonts. This service supplies the typefaces used across the site. It does not set cookies, but Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.

4. When you contact us

If you phone or email us, we will hold the details you give us, including your name, your contact details and what you tell us about your project, so we can respond and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. We use those details for that purpose only.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else except:

• where we need to in order to do the work you have asked for, for example a council, a certifier or an engineer on your project, or
• where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep information

Enquiry and project records are kept for as long as we need them for your project and for any period the law requires afterwards. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then discarded.

6. Keeping information secure

This website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to our systems is restricted to people who need it. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we can.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes to this policy

If we add a form, an analytics tool or anything else that collects information, we will update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
